A VERY WARM WELCOME TO THE OLD CONTROL-TOWER
Our aim is for you to have a relaxing and enjoyable time staying at the Old Control-Tower and, as we live on-site, we are usually nearby to help.
Whatever the weather
Come rain or shine, there is plenty to do inside or outside the Old Control-Tower.
If the weather’s too wet or cold for you to enjoy the outdoors, then we hope our accommodation provides you with a warm and cosy home-from-home.
There are books everywhere and the ‘leftfield’ artwork hung throughout the tower may not be to everyone’s taste, but usually provides some thought-provoking discussion!
As well as shove-ha’penny, dominoes, board-games, jigsaws and cards, there is also a large-screen for television/film and tenpin-bowling on the Xbox 360.
Essential (especially it seems for many youngsters) is Wi-Fi access and we have Starlink to provide this.
One thing, we love to do, is just light the woodburning-stove, stick on some favourite music and pitch in with friends/family to prepare a feast or simply bake a cake.
The great outdoors
And it really is great outdoors around here with wonderful wildlife, walking, star-gazing, fishing, watersports, cycling, horse-riding, golfing, motorsports, food, historic-sites, antiques music, railways etc.
Whatever your bag, we hope we’ve got it included – if not, do please ask!

So again a very warm welcome, or as they say in Irish ‘Ta failte romhaibh’ (pronounced taw foyle-cha roh-iv).
Across this website, we’ve added some pronunciation-tips where we think they might be helpful. Please feel free to disregard if you’re a native of the Gaelic tongue or correct us if we have made any errors!
